If you already own the property the process for underground oil tank removal is simple.

First, A1 Oil Tank Removal will email you a contract for your review. If it’s acceptable, you click approve, type in your name and the contract will instantly be accepted.

We will then send you a link for a deposit, and once paid, your file will be set up, and your permit application overnighted to the township.

The township will take anywhere from one to two weeks typically to approve your permits.

The Project Can't Start Or Be Scheduled Until The Permits Are Approved

Once the permits are approved, we are typically anywhere from five to 10 business days out in our calendar, so figure between two to four weeks from the time you sign a contract until the time that work actually gets done.

It’s a one day process to remove your oil tank. A1 Oil Tank Removal will set up the inspection prior to coming out with the township. The oil tank will be cut open, pumped out, and the contents in the inside of the tank will be removed.

The tank will be wiped down, so someone will enter in the tank, wipe it down. Once it’s completely dry, the tank will then be removed from the ground and placed on plastic

What does the township inspector look for?

The township inspector will come out and perform a visual inspection of the tank and surrounding area. They’ll check for holes in the tankstained or discolored soil, and any soil with a noticeable odor—all signs that a leak may have occurred.
